About Me

I have always had a love for Film and TV, and after mainly being a songwriter and performer, I decided to study Music Composition for Media.  I really felt like I had found my niche, and graduated from my degree with First Class Honors in 2007.

I have a true passion for writing music to picture, and I love exploring and writing in different styles. I'm a big fan of using live instruments and try to use them as much as possible.  I’m always looking for new ways to do things, to experiment and be different.

Way back when...
I come from a musical family and started learning the classical guitar aged 7.  I played in a local classical guitar ensemble and in the National Youth Guitar Ensemble.  As a teenager I started to play electric guitar, acoustic guitar and bass and was in various bands, I also sang, provided backing vocals and started to learn keyboards.  I studied Popular Music, Music Theory and Music Technology A-Level at Amersham College in 2000, followed by a brief stint at BCUC (now Bucks New University) studying Music Management and Marketing. Then I moved to Brighton in 2004 to study Music Performance, and ultimately Music Composition for Media at degree level.  After I graduated I started to gain local clients and built my work up from scratch.  Now I've recorded at Abbey Road, had my music performed by orchestras, my music has been broadcast on many TV channels all over the world, I've attended the BAFTA's and sat on the BAFTA Jury for Original Music, sat on the Ivor Novello Awards Jury for Best Television Soundtrack, and I'm part of BAFTA Crew and the Ivors Acadamy Senate.
I was nominated for Best Original Score at Feel The Reel Film Festival for short film 'Out of Orbit'.
